Seahawks at Jets tips and predictions
forecast
Seahawks 20, Jets 13
Money line
BET SEAHAWKS (-110).
Vegas essentially has this game as a pick'em, probably because the Seahawks have to travel across the country.
Seattle is the better team in every phase. The Jets are a mess organizationally, and their locker room problems aren't being helped by Rodgers, whose Achilles tendon injury has affected his play. The Jets defense, once considered elite, has just two interceptions this season, the second fewest in the league, and has struggled to force turnovers.
New York has lost and failed to cover 7 of its last 8 games.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks are finding ways to win at QB Geno Smith proves to be a constant presence. Seattle has won and covered 2 games in a row and should be able to handle this struggling Jets team.
Against the spread
HAPPEN.
In this case there is not much difference between the moneyline and the spread. On the money line, I would make the safer bet with the Seahawks.
Over/Under
HAPPEN.
The Seahawks have lost in five straight games and haven't scored more than 20 points in the last four.
The Jets, who averaged 18.5 points per game, also saw the under hit in two of their last three meetings. With New York scoring fewer than 10 points in two of its last eight games, it's unlikely its offensive woes will improve against Seattle. Everything points to this being a low-scoring affair in Week 13.
