The many storylines surrounding the New York Jets in the upcoming NFL offseason can make anyone's head spin.
A new head coach and general manager will be hired, that's for sure.
How about Aaron Rodgers? Will the quarterback return to New York?
It takes two to tango between the 41-year-old and the team. Both have to be on the same page. As for Rodgers' thoughts, it was unsurprising that he didn't reveal them after the Jets' season ended.
“I honestly don’t know. If I knew, I don’t know if I would tell you,” Rodgers said. “But to be honest, I don’t know. I look forward to these conversations.”
Rodgers ended his 2024 campaignhis only full year as the starting quarterback in New York, with 3,897 passing yards, eighth-most in the NFL. His touchdown-to-interception ratio was 28 to 11.
By most accounts, Rodgers' second half of the season was much better than the first.
Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich isn't back in New York himself, but he supported the idea that Rodgers still has something left in the tank if he decides to play again in 2025.
“In the end, he finally got the opportunity to get healthy and we could see that he can still play this game at a very, very high level,” Ulbrich said via video conference.
