“This story has been updated to add new information.”

The Eagles are in Los Angeles for a critical Sunday game against the Rams and could be forced to be without star safety Reed Blankenship.

Blankenship was forced to exit the game on Philadelphia's first defensive series after suffering a shoulder injury when he collided with cornerback Darius Slay while making a tackle on Rams running back Kyren Wiliams.

Blankenship has 38 tackles, three interceptions and five passes defensed in 10 of 11 games this season and was replaced in the secondary by Tristin McCollum.

Update:

After a short break, Blankenship has returned to the lineup.
