Commanders hire Campbell’s CEO Mark Clouse as team’s new president

The Washington commanders have named Mark Clouse as their new president Who will oversee all aspects of the team’s business operations? Clouse will begin his new role at the end of January.

Clouse joins the Commanders after serving as president and chief executive officer of Campbell's Company. He takes over from Jason Wright, the franchise's president from 2020 to 2023, who stepped down in the summer but remains with the team as an advisor.

“As a military veteran and accomplished business owner, he has a proven ability to strengthen both the organizations he leads and the communities he serves. I have confidence in Mark’s commitment to building a championship-caliber organization and supporting football operations in our pursuit of excellence on the field.”

Clouse graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he was a member of the basketball team. He spent six and a half years as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and was promoted to captain by the end of his service.

After his service, Clouse held various leadership positions at Kraft Foods for over 15 years. In 2012, he was named president of North America at Mondelēz and later served as chief commercial officer. Clouse was named president and CEO of Campbell in 2019.
