Patrick Queen says he wasnt offered a deal by Ravens in free agency

The Ravens and Steelers face the first of two extremely intense matchups, and Patrick Queen made Wednesday's game even more exciting.

Speaking to reporters about Sunday's game and reflecting on free agency, Queen said Baltimore didn't offer him a new contract before he signed a three-year deal with Pittsburgh.

“I didn’t want to go back. I didn't get an offer back. It's definitely a little unsettling being there for four years and the bond you develop with your teammates. At the end of the day, in the first few months, you definitely go through those feelings.”

Queen, Roquan Smith's vice president, made the Pro Bowl for the first time this season after recording 125 tackles (78 solo) and matching a career-high six passes defensed. He also added 3.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, making him the league's best defense.

Queen is the only NFL defensive back to produce at least 400 tackles (including 445), double-digit sacks (13.5) and double-digit takeaways (four interceptions and six fumble recoveries) since 2020.
