While security Jaquan Brisker remains in the protocol with a concussion and will miss his third straight game, the secondary could get another boost this week. Nickel back Kyler Gordon (hamstring) is listed as questionable after returning to practice in a limited capacity for the first time this week on Friday.
“There’s always a ramp-up process,” Gordon told reporters Friday. “I’m happy to be on the field.”
After suffering the injury in London against the Jaguars, Gordon is trying to balance his desire to be back on the field with returning to full strength.
“I wanted to be there straight away the next day,” Gordon said. “It’s definitely hard to be smart and then be diligent. I'm just trying to find the in-between, not pushing it over the limit, but definitely trying it out and trying to make good progress because I want to be back in it. “I hate being outside, fun too and being with my brothers.
The offensive line is the group whose strengths will be tested the most on Sunday. beginner Kiran Amegadjie (Wade) will miss Sunday's game after not practicing all week Teven Jenkins (Knee), Larry Borom (ankle) and Ryan Bates (Shoulders) are all questionable.
“Teven Jenkins was good today,” Eberflus said. “He took part in most of the training. He looks good out there, feels good, so we’re confident.”
Both Borom and Bates remain on injured reserve and would need to be added to the 53-man roster before the start of the game. Eberflus praised Borom's work at left tackle in practice when Jones was sidelined.
“Larry worked there,” Eberflus said. “We feel really good about it. We want to make sure we don't move multiple spots. We'll see where this goes, but Larry did a good job there. And again, our right side is the right side.” It should be pretty solid there.
