Browns give update on status of Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah vs Steelers

The Cleveland Browns have a chance to sign linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to return from injured reserve when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, head coach Kevin Stefanski that Owusu-Koramoah will not play against the Steelers . The Browns also haven't designated their star linebacker to return, raising doubts about whether or not he will play again in 2024.

By designating Owusu-Koramoah to return, the Browns would open a 21-day window to add him back to the 53-man roster. By refraining from designating the linebacker to return, the Browns say they don't believe he will be sidelined for three weeks since there are only five weeks left in the season.

Given the nature of Owusu-Koramoah's neck injury and the Browns' record in 2024, it makes sense to give him as much time as possible to get back in order before putting him back on the field.

Even if that means he won't play football again until 2025.
