Jimmy Haslam, owner of the Cleveland Browns, is trying his hand at day-to-day operations for a new sports franchise: the Milwaukee Bucks.
Haslam has been the owner of the Browns since 2012 and has since been known for getting too involved in day-to-day operations He doesn't allow those he hires to do his job. While that has seemingly gotten better over the last half decade, there have been rumors that he was once again involved in the decision to keep Deshaun Watson on the field despite a league-worst performance.
He has now transferred his talents and influence to the NBA.
When speaking to reporters about whether or not he's on the hot seat after an ice-cold start to the season despite a talented roster in Milwaukee, Bucks' head coach Doc Rivers may have let slip a little more information than necessary. Rivers that he talks to partner Jimmy Haslam “every day”.
Rivers said he speaks with Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam every day.

Haslam became part owner of the Bucks in April 2023 and since then the head coach's decisions have been turbulent at best. The Bucks fired one of the NBA's best head coaches in Mike Budenholzer, then hired Adrian Griffin and fired him just six months later despite a 30-13 start to the season. Griffin was then replaced by Rivers.
Get used to it, Bucks fans, it gets old fast.
