Browns sign CFLs Toronto Argonauts standout Ralph Holley

The Cleveland Browns are doing their best to add talent to their roster, signing defensive tackle Ralph Holley from the Toronto Argonauts.

The Argonauts defender is eliminated one of his most powerful seasons in the Canadian Football League and recorded eight sacks in the 2024 season. Despite missing time, his sack total still ranked first among all CFL defensemen. Holley is also a member of the Western Michigan Broncos' 2021 graduating class, where he racked up 138 tackles and 19.5 sacks in four consecutive seasons. The rising defensive tackle found his way to the Canadian Football League after going undrafted in 2022 NFL draft.

The length and total value of the contract has yet to be determined, but Holley will undoubtedly have to earn his spot in what is expected to be a very competitive defensive group. Signing with Cleveland early in the offseason could give him an advantage by allowing him to thoroughly prepare for training camp.

Time will tell whether this preparation will give him a head start as he fights for a squad spot next season.
