The Detroit Lions remain fairly stable in terms of practice participation ahead of their home game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday evening. There were no new additions to the injured list at Tuesday's practice at Allen Park and even one player was upgraded from limited to full participant.
That upgrade was cornerback Carlton Davis, who missed the Thanksgiving win over the Chicago Bears. Before practice, head coach Dan Campbell expressed this positive assessment of Davis' chances to play:
“I felt like (Lions CB Carlton Davis III)'s CD looked pretty good yesterday, really good actually, so I feel pretty good there if I don't do anything else in practice today.”
The news was less optimistic for left tackle Taylor Decker, who remains out of practice due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 12.
“Yeah, I’m not feeling too good about Decker this week,” Campbell said.
Three defensive linemen are also staying away from training:
Levi Onwuzurike (thigh)
Josh Paschal (knee)
DJ Reader (shoulder)
On Reader, Campbell had this to say before the workout:
“Yeah, well, he is – I don’t see him training today either, and he’s kind of a daily occurrence here.”
