Lions offer injury updates on Sam LaPorta and Taylor Decker

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided some encouraging news regarding the health of some of the Lions' key offensive players.

In his press conference Monday after the team's Week 10 comeback win at Houston, Campbell gave vaguely positive status reports about left tackle Taylor Decker and tight end Sam LaPorta. Decker missed Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, while LaPorta left the game in the second half with a shoulder injury.

“Decker is questionable, but he’s trending in the right direction,” Campbell said of the veteran left tackle. This is an unofficial status designation of Campbell; The team will not determine an official game status until after practice on Friday.

Campbell provided a little more detail about LaPorta and left his status open for the Week 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Yeah, it's still – look, it's going to be commonplace, but not – we don't feel like it's going to be anything like, 'Oh man, this is going to be a long, nagging injury.' I think we'll manage. I’m hopeful this week, but I can’t say that – he’s questionable.”
