The Green Bay Packers ruled out cornerback Jaire Alexander, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and receiver Romeo Doubs and listed tight end John FitzPatrick, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie and center Josh Myers as questionable on the final injury report before their Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving Night competed.
How will the injury situation impact the holiday showdown?
Here's a detailed breakdown of the Packers' most recent injury report prior to Week 13:
From (3)
CB Jaire Alexander (knee): He did not participate in field work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Alexander suffered a serious knee ligament injury in Chicago and probably needed a week or two to get back on the practice field. It's possible he returns to the Lions next Thursday. Expect to see more of Carrington Valentine, Keisean Nixon and Eric Stokes at cornerback.
LB Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring): The rookie injured his hamstring in practice last Wednesday, making it unlikely he will be back in time for a game eight days later. He will miss his second straight game. The Packers need Quay Walker, Eric Wilson and possibly even rookie Ty'Ron Hopper to handle snaps at linebacker.
WR Romeo Doubs (concussion): Going through the league's concussion protocol in three days was always going to be a tall order for Doubs, who suffered the head injury in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the 49ers. He will miss his second game of the year and first due to injury. Expect Donyatvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Malik Heath to get more snaps around Christian Watson and Jayden Reed at receiver.
Questionable (3)
TE John FitzPatrick (back): He's the No. 3 tight end, so the Packers would be shorthanded at that position if he couldn't leave. Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims handle most of the tight end duties, but FitzPatrick has played a few snaps on offense and special teams over the last month.
LB Isaiah McDuffie (ankle): A potentially big problem considering Cooper is out. McDuffie has started all 11 games at linebacker for the Packers this season. If he can't go, the Packers will be without three healthy linebackers on Thursday night.
C Josh Myers (chest): The Packers expected Myers to be a full participant on Wednesday, so there's a good chance he'll play on Thursday. He battled a wrist injury last week and is now dealing with a pectoral muscle injury. Elgton Jenkins is the replacement at center.
No status designation
The following players do not have a status designation and will be eligible to play against the Dolphins on Thursday: DL Kenny Clark, RB Josh Jacobs, OL Elgton Jenkins, S Xavier McKinney, LT Rasheed Walker.
McKinney missed Tuesday due to a personal issue but returned as a full participant on Wednesday. Clark, Jacobs and Jenkins were given veteran rest earlier in the week.
Dolphins injury report
The Dolphins ruled out cornerback Kendall Fuller, linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. and linebacker Tyus Bowser. It's questionable whether left tackle Terron Armstead will be able to play with an ankle injury, but he has played through the issue in two straight games. While Miami's injury report included 15 players earlier in the week, only four players have game status designations as of Thursday. Armstead is the big one, but expect him to play. Rookie Storm Duck could start at cornerback opposite Jalen Ramsey.
