Packers RB Josh Jacobs breaks double digit tackle attempts again

For the second week in a row, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs pushed through tacklers en route to a double-digit tackle-breaking performance.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jacobs forced 15 missed tackles – eight as a runner and seven more as a receiver – in Thursday night's win over the Miami Dolphins. Counting his Week 12 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, Jacobs has now missed 27 forced tackles in the last two games.

Next Gen Stats counted 10 missed tackles Jacobs forced against the Dolphins. He asked one against the 49ers with 15 forced misses.

Jacobs totaled 114 yards against the Dolphins: 53 after first contact as a runner and 71 after catch as a receiver, meaning he either got hit behind the line of scrimmage and gained positive yards or completed a completion behind the line for positive yards converted.

While Jacobs had an 11-yard run and a 1-yard touchdown run to start, his highlight came in the fourth quarter. After catching a short checkdown pass from Jordan Love, Jacobs caused several players to miss in the open field with a career-long 49-yard reception — setting up a field goal that put the Packers back up by three points took the lead.

Overall, the Dolphins missed a total of 23 tackles against the Packers. In the cold and short week, Jayden Reed, Chris Brooks, Emanuel Wilson, Dontayvion Wicks and Tucker Kraft all attended the tackle break party.

Over the course of five days, Jacobs converted 49 touches into consecutive double-digit broken tackle performances.
