On a cold evening at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers got standout performances from two of their best tackle breakers and highly productive performances from the quarterback and two inside linebackers to earn a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving.
The Packers jumped out to a 14-0 lead, held a 27-3 lead early in the second half and secured a comfortable 13-point victory.
Here are the stars, guys and duds from the Packers' Week 13 win over the Dolphins:
Stars
TE Tucker Kraft: His 17-yard catch converted a third down on the Packers' second scoring drive. At the end of the first half, he had 26 receiving yards on the Packers' quick strike drive. On another scoring drive in the fourth quarter, he caught passes of 16 yards and 10 yards. Kraft caught a total of six passes and often threw a ball over tackles to gain additional yards. His blocking also helps spark explosive runs from Jayden Reed and Chris Brooks.
RB Josh Jacobs: His 11-yard run helped set up another 1-yard touchdown run in the first half, and Jacobs was a standout receiver, catching four passes for a season-high 74 yards. PFF recorded him breaking 15 tackle attempts. He worked hard to earn his yards in the running game between the tackles. His highlight play was when he beat a defender out of space on a checkdown and scored a 49-yard gain on a pass that probably traveled five yards in the air.
stollen
QB Jordan Love: He started 0-for-2 but was accurate and confident in the pocket the rest of the way. He ended up completing 21 of 28 passes and two were dropped. Love didn't take a sack and didn't have a turnover-worthy play. His average per attempt was 9.8. He hit Christian Watson for a 46-yarder and almost made another big play on Watson late in the game, but Love was mostly content to play quickly and on time. His first touchdown pass to Jayden Reed was a precise breakout that beat good coverage on third down.
LB Quay Walker: He made nine tackles without a miss and caused four pressures on six pass rushing attempts, including the game-winning fourth-down sack that resulted in a stop in the red zone in the fourth quarter. He played quickly and aggressively again. Walker was involved in three different run stops and played a big role in shutting down De'Von Achne in the run game.
LB Isaiah McDuffie: Despite suffering an ankle injury, McDuffie made a team-high six stops, including a tackle for loss on Achane and a third stop on Tyreek Hill. In coverage, he landed a hard hit that sent the ball into the incompletion. He also struggled against Hill with a contested catch underneath. His recovery and strike resulted in a Jonnu Smith fumble that went out of bounds.
K Brandon McManus: Another clean, comfortable performance. He made all three field goals, including a 46-yarder as time expired in the first half. The conditions for the kicking game were not great, but the veteran had no problems. He also made a nice open-field tackle covering a kickoff.
DE Arron Mosby: Recognizing a jet sweep, he made a tackle for loss and made a nice tackle in the open field. He later made a tough tackle covering a kickoff.
WR Jayden Reed: He caught two touchdown passes, including one on a quick screen that required some navigation after the catch. His most impressive play was a 23-yard run that resulted in three missed tackles.
Duds
LG Elgton Jenkins: He took pressure a few times and his 15-yard penalty was a killer in the red zone late in the game. The Packers had difficulty running the football, in part due to Jenkins' issues blocking the Dolphins' interior, particularly Zach Sieler.
LB Eric Wilson: He missed two tackles on defense and a third on special teams.
