After being released by the New York Giants, Daniel Jones has found a new home. According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, Jones will sign with the Minnesota Vikings after clearing waivers on Monday and becoming a free agent.
It was later reported that Jones would be signed to the Vikings' practice squad rather than their 53-man roster.
It didn't take long for Jones to land with another team, and there were reportedly multiple suitors – including the Ravens and 49ers. However, he chose the Vikings, where he will support Sam Darnold for the rest of the season.
Jones was benched by the Giants after throwing just eight touchdown passes and seven interceptions in 10 starts this season and was replaced by Tommy DeVito. He asked the Giants to waive him rather than sit on the bench in New York for the remainder of the year, and he was granted his release.
