Sam Darnold has been a revelation as the Vikings' quarterback under Kevin O'Connell this season. The former top-five pick turned backup looks like the player the Jets thought they were getting out of USC.
The Vikings picked up another win last Sunday against the Cardinalsand that was largely due to the way Darnold played. He completed 21 of 31 passes for 235 yards and two scores. Not only did Darnold give the Vikings a come-from-behind win, he did also broke a personal streak of bad luck.
Entering the game, Darnold was 0-for-23 of his career when his team trailed by 13 or more points. With just over four minutes to play in the third quarter, the Vikings trailed 19-6.
Darnold gave the Vikings the lead three times before time expired, including a game-winning drive. With just over a minute left, Darnold found Aaron Jones for a five-yard score.
