It wasn't the best day for the Vikings overall. But good teams find ways to win close games, and that's exactly what Minnesota did on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. At halftime, the Vikings trailed 9-6. Between drives stalling and Aaron Jones giving the ball away, Minnesota struggled to score points.
The second half was mostly the same until the Vikings figured something out late. The Vikings trailed 19-6 and scored a touchdown late in the third quarter. Then Minnesota trailed by six with three minutes to play. Sam Darnold connected with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison on some big throws and the drive was capped off after Darnold hit Aaron Jones for a five-yard score. The Vikings would intercept Kyler Murray on the final drive and win the game 23-22.
Here's what social media had to say about the narrow win.
