What will offseason coverage look like for Vikings Wire

The Minnesota Vikings are having a season that not many expected, especially here on Vikings Wire. Before the season began, we made a prediction that turned out to be nowhere near correct, and we stand by that statement. What we want to do, however, is complete coverage for the Vikings and the entire NFC North.

As a Vikings fan reading this, I know you want the NFC North teams to struggle, but it's important to understand these teams the same way you understand Minnesota. This means our coverage will be complete this offseason.

Let me lay out the talking points and things to watch for as we head into December and beyond with this special Vikings team.

Coaching staff coverage

Kevin O'Connell isn't going anywhere, the whole world knows that, but defensive coordinator Brian Flores has earned another chance to be a head coach. Not to mention, look for Wes Phillips to potentially get interviews for the work the offense is doing.

We will cover all potential interviews and let you know where they might go if given a chance. We also make sure you know everything you need to know about any replacements or new additions to the coaching staff.

Free agent coverage

The Vikings have many players who will be free agents in the offseason. Some of the biggest names include Byron Murphy Jr., Stephon Gilmore, Aaron Jones, Sam Darnold and Camryn Bynum. In total, they have 35 pending free agents, meaning this roster could look very different in 2025.

The team only has five draft picks at this point, so free agency should be exciting for them. After finding Andrew Van Ginkel, Jonathan Greenard and Blake Cashman in the last cycle, they're on the rise in that regard, so look for them to be active again.

NFL Draft coverage

Well, about this part, maybe some people will stop by or stay tuned. Next to the Super Bowl, the NFL Draft is the biggest event on the football calendar. Every team and its fan base are excited, and the results lead to new, eternal hope for every fan base.

We will prepare draft reports on the needs of the Vikings and other teams in the NFC North. Winning the division has never been a bigger mountain to climb, so keeping everyone in mind is crucial.

We hope you'll stay tuned to Vikings Wire, where we'll keep you updated on everything related to the team and the NFC North.
