The similarities between what happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday were eerily similar to what happened to the University of Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday afternoon. The Steelers and Buffs both entered their respective games on winning streaks and prepared to face inferior opponents.
And both teams greatly overestimated their opponents and suffered major losses. The Steelers lost to the then 2-8 Cleveland Browns and the Buffs were knocked out by the KU Jayhawks.
The difference between the two was the way the head coach handled it. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin remained his usual, robotic self and refused to acknowledge that the loss was anything more than a technical error.
“None of you can say he played his best game, no one here can say he played well. You see, the problem is that you are intoxicated by success.”

Meanwhile, there's Sanders, who is outspoken about how he and the players are dependent on their own success and not playing hard enough against the Jayhawks or not coaching well enough.
It would be so refreshing to hear Tomlin speak so honestly about his team. And it might make it clear to everyone on the team that you can't just keep bringing up talking points and not make real changes.
