In one of the biggest upsets of Week 10, the Atlanta Falcons suffered one by the New Orleans Saints. What was initially expected to be a loss to a weak 7-2 team instead turned into a story of a slow start, missed opportunities and a brief surprise that no one saw coming.
“We had every chance in the world to win this game today,” head coach Raheem Morris said in his opening comments during the postgame press conference.
The good news for the Falcons is that they are still on top – quite comfortably – at 6-4. It is Atlanta's first division loss of the season.
And it goes back to 7-3 Considering the Falcons haven't turned a 6-3 overall record into a 7-3 overall record since 1980.
It's easy to believe that even one of Younghoe Koo's three missed field goal attempts in Week 10 could have made the difference. But for now, the Falcons have no choice but to put Sunday's loss behind them and continue to focus on the bigger picture.
The team will look to get on the right side of the win column when they face the Denver Broncos on the road next Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET at Mile High Stadium.
