The NFL has announced all 32 nominees for the 2024 Walton Payton Man of the Year award and the Atlanta Falcons have nominated veteran defensive lineman Grady Jarrett.
“The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award is the league’s most revered award. It recognizes players who excel on the field and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact beyond the game.” writes.
Jarrett, 31, has spent all 10 seasons in Atlanta. This is his second nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Jarrett has been one of the most consistent defensive players on the field, but has made just as big of an impact off the field with his work in the community.
He remains committed to his “Big Men Don't Bully” campaign, hosting educational workshops with open discussions on recognizing bullying traits to develop a community-wide anti-bullying strategy. This year, he held three anti-bullying pep rallies at Atlanta schools with the campaign. — Tori McElhaney, AtlantaFalcons.com
