Panthers QB Bryce Young reveals what rapper Rod Wave told him

We can attribute Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young's recent breakthrough to a number of hypotheses.

Act give him the much-needed step back? Did the break give him a chance to really watch and learn the NFL game from the sidelines? Or could it just have clicked?

While these are all viable ideas, none are more intriguing than the rod wave theory. Yes, the rod wave theory.

While Young was silent Behind veteran Andy Dalton, recording artist Rod Wave posted the following on his Instagram story. . .

Young would soon regain his starting status, such as it was added to the lineup from Week 8. And of course the rest seems to be history.

Before the Instagram Story, Young was averaging 122.5 yards per game, zero touchdowns and three interceptions while leading the Panthers to an 0-2 start. He then averaged 216.4 passing yards per contest with seven total scores and three picks above a 2-3 mark.

Curious people wanted to know: Did Rod Wave actually talk to Young? And if so, did he actually save his career?

Panthers beat writer Sheena Quick asked Young for us on Wednesday. . .

Well, whatever Rod Wave told him, Young appears to no longer be on his final lap in Carolina.
