Panthers sack leader former 1st round pick headed to Eagles

The Carolina Panthers on Monday Fullback Charles Harris. But on Tuesday, the veteran defenseman landed in an awfully good spot.

As by Zach Berman of PHLY, Harris was successfully claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 9-2 NFC East leaders just learned that 15th-year pass rusher and team captain Brandon Graham has suffered a season-ending triceps injury, which he suffered in Sunday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams had. Graham recorded 3.5 sacks, tied for the Eagles' third-highest total this season.

Harris, who has recorded 3.0 sacks so far, left the Panthers as one of their two leaders in that category. He is tied with defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson.

Carolina Harris, a former first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins, on Sept. 11. The 29-year-old then played nine games for the Panthers – also totaling 21 tackles and seven quarterback hits in six starts.
