Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce is there for the second year in a row
He is reported to be suffering from a foot injury and was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday when the team conducted a walkthrough instead of a full practice.
Earlier this week, The Athletic's James Boyd reported that Pierce was “doing well” after his right ankle was seen being re-taped during Sunday's game against Detroit – although Pierce is on the injury report with a foot injury.
Another tidbit about injuries: WR Alec Pierce, whose right ankle was examined/retaped on the sideline during yesterday's loss, is “fine,” according to sources.
Pierce walked cautiously through the locker room after the game, but there's no reason to be overly concerned about the future.

Maybe the Colts are just being overly cautious and giving Pierce some extra rest in preparation for Sunday's game at New England, but any time a player misses two days of practice, it's worth keeping an eye on.
With Anthony Richardson at the helm, Pierce has been one of the NFL's most productive downfield targets in football this season. Overall, he leads the team with 623 yards and averages 23.3 yards per catch with four scores.
Specifically on high balls, Pierce ranks third on balls over 20 yards and second on balls over 20 yards.
The Colts could already be shorthanded at the receiver position for this game. Josh Downs isn't ruled out yet, but as Shane Steichen put it on Wednesday, his availability will be “tough.”
Ashton Dulin, who left Sunday with an ankle injury, also did not practice the first two days of this week.
The Colts face a New England defense that ranks 12th in yards per rush allowed but is 26th in yards per pass attempt surrendered.
