In 10 Weeks, Indianapolis Colts forward Kenny Moore is one of Pro Football Focus' highest-ranked cornerbacks this season.
After his performance last Sunday against Buffalo, Moore jumped from No. 16 in these cornerback rankings to No. 12 heading into a Week 11 matchup against the Jets.
This ranking takes into account PFF's coverage level of each corner and its rating Metric that measures how well a defender performed on non-targeted coverage snaps. Who the cornerback is playing against is also taken into account.
At the top of the list so far this season are Marlon Humphrey of Baltimore, DJ Reed of the New York Jets and Christian Benford of Buffalo.
As he has throughout his career with the Colts, Moore continues to do a little bit of everything for this defense, including playing both out of position and out depending on what lineup they are in.
In coverage, he has allowed 29 completions on 44 targets, which isn't unusual for a primary player, but Moore really stood out by limiting those pass catchers to just 7.1 yards per catch, illustrating how tight he is in the coverage is.
Moore also made his first interception of the year last Sunday and has a total of three pass breakups and 35 solo tackles, including 10 run stops – the fourth-most among cornerbacks.
Waiting for Moore and the Colts in the secondary this Sunday is a Jets offense that has had its ups and downs but still features Aaron Rodgers at quarterback at wide receiver.
