With the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2024 season behind us, let's take a look back at the offensive players who received the highest grades throughout the season Professional football focus.
Before I get into that, however, I think it's important to note that while PFF's rating system is very helpful in quantifying a player's performance, it is just one metric that exists in evaluation and is treated as such should be.
As a general rule, though, if a player is performing well, PFF's grades will reflect that, especially across a sample across the entire season.
Here's a look at PFF's rating system to provide some context behind the numbers:
90.0+: Elite
80-89.9: High quality
70-79.9: Good
60-69.9: Above average
50-59.9: Average
40-49.9: Below average
39.9 or less: Poor
5. RB tank Bigsby
PFF grade: 68.1
Bigsby often provided a big boost to the Jaguars' running game. He finished the season with 766 total rushing yards at 4.6 yards per rush and seven touchdowns. He was particularly difficult to bring down since he ranked third among all running backs in average yards after contact.
4. TE Evan Engram
PFF grade: 72.5
Unfortunately, injuries shortened Engram's season, but as always, he was effective on the field. Engram was heavily targeted with 47 receptions in nine games and totaled 365 yards with one score. He also performed well as a run blocker.
3. OT Walker Little
PFF grade: 72.8
According to PFF, Little allowed just two sacks and 13 pressures on the year. Compared to other tackles across the league, Little ranked 18th of 87 in pass blocking efficiency and 26th in run blocking rating.
2. Trevor Lawrence
PFF grade: 76.8
Lawrence's final game came in Week 13 before he was placed on IR. Before that, however, he completed 61% of his passes for 7.2 yards per attempt and 11 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He had two games with at least 300 passing yards.
1. Brian Thomas Jr.
PFF grade: 82.0
No surprise after a great season for the rookie receiver. Thomas was one of the most productive receivers in all of football, totaling 1,282 receiving yards and an impressive 14.7 yards per catch with 10 touchdowns.
Honorable Mentions
WR Christian Kirk: 67.9
TE Brenton Strange: 66.0
G Ezra Cleveland: 64.9
