The Jaguars reportedly requested veteran wide receiver Josh Reynolds on Wednesday from ESPN.
Reynolds, an eighth-year pro, was released by Denver on Tuesday. He joined the Broncos in March on a two-year, $9 million contract as a free agent after spending four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, one with the Tennessee Titans and two with the Detroit Lions.
Reynolds has recorded 12 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown and 232 catches for 3,116 yards and 20 touchdowns in 112 games this season, including 54 starts.
The Broncos placed Reynolds on injured reserve with a finger injury in Week 5 instead of facilitating his return to Denver's active roster this week.
Three suspects were arrested in connection and two companions in October while he was on the Broncos' injured reserve. Reynolds suffered minor injuries in the shooting.
Jacksonville's wide receiver room has been plagued by short- and long-term injuries this season.
The Jaguars lost their starting receiver for the year in Week 8 when he broke his collarbone against the Green Bay Packers. Starting outside the receiver was ruled out for the campaign after suffering a torn meniscus in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.
