The Jaguars have been in the 2025 NFL draft for a few weeks.
There are six games between Jacksonville and finishing the season at the top of the standings, and it faces competition for the pick. But with the Jaguars at 2-9 this year, fans are already looking forward to the offseason, and probably rightly so.
But if Jacksonville kept the spot until the end of the campaign, would they keep it?
ESPN NFL analyst Field Yates isn't convinced.

With Trevor Lawrence still a year away from the start of his five-year extension, Jacksonville will be out of the quarterback market, making him an obvious trade-down candidate depending on price and other teams' desire to trade up. The Jaguars will be a fascinating team to watch.
A lot could change for the Jaguars between now and the nfl Draft in April. One thing is certain, however: Lawrence will remain Jacksonville's quarterback after signing with the club last offseason.
Therefore, in the coming months, Jacksonville should expect passer-reliant teams to want to pick No. 1 if the Jaguars hold onto the position through Week 18.
