Pederson updates injuries to Jacksonville Jaguars DBs Campbell Savage

Jaguars defensive backs cornerback Tyson Campbell and safety Darnell Savage Jr. will start Week 14 on a “day-to-day” basis after sustaining injuries Head coach Doug Pederson announced Monday that he is joining the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Campbell left the game early in the third quarter after an incomplete pass from Texas quarterback CJ Stroud to running back Joe Mixon with what Pederson called a quadriceps injury.

Savage was briefly sidelined later in the third quarter after injuring his ankle on a three-yard rush by Mixon. He returned to action at the start of the fourth quarter.

“Savage, Knuckles, back to play. Should be fine. Will be daily. “Tyson is the same thing, Tyson is going to be dealing with his quads day in and day out,” Pederson said.

Campbell entered the match with a shoulder injury, which limited his ability to train in week 13. He missed five games earlier this season (Weeks 2-6) with a hamstring injury.

Campbell has recorded 34 total tackles in seven starts this season, including two passes lost and two passes defensed.

A quadriceps injury prevented Savage from playing in Weeks 2–4. In his first season with the Jaguars, he recorded 34 total tackles in nine starts, including one for loss, one interception and four passes defended.
