The NFC South is the NFL's worst division and its only real rival is the AFC East. The latter has the advantage that the Buffalo Bills are one of the best teams in the league. The rest of the division is on par with the NFC South.
The problem is that the NFC South doesn't have one team that stands out. The Buccaneers and Falcons are tied at the top of the division and do not have a winning record. Despite this low ceiling, the Saints and Panthers don't seem to have a chance. This is the truest indictment of division.
