Saints RB Kendre Miller eyeing return from injury in Week 14

Kendre Miller's career with the New Orleans Saints didn't really get off the ground due to injuries. Injuries have resulted in the former third-round draft pick playing in just 10 games in two seasons.

The frustrating thing about Miller is that when he plays, you understand why the Saints selected him. He only played in two games this year and carried the ball nine times, but he seemed like a great complement to Alvin Kamara.

And Miller could have a chance to really show that when he returns, now that Darren Rizzi is the coach. Dennis Allen was critical enough publicly to assume that he and Miller were on bad terms privately.

It was reported to Miller and that was a decision by Dennis Allen. The head coach change brings the running back out of the doghouse.

The plan calls for Miller to be “full throttle, no brakes” as he returns from a hamstring injury. That could be the case this week against the New York Giants.

If this is the case, Miller should see a lot of carries per game. The Saints will be without Taysom Hill for the remainder of the season, and Miller should be the second rushing option opposite Jamaal Williams.
