YAC capability

If you have a wide receiver with a track background, you'll generally only get straight-line speed. With Wester, he provides speed in every facet of his route running and after the ball gets into his hands. His speed and overview allow him to change the game with the ball in his hand.

Ability to return

At Colorado, Wester wasn't asked to do as much in the return game as he was at Florida Atlantic. When he played for the Owls, he averaged 19.9 yards per return and in high school he totaled five touchdowns. The NFL's new kickoff rules are designed to allow LaJohntay Wester to make a difference in this part of the game.

Footwork

Wester demonstrates good footwork as he attempts to break away from defenders whether he has the ball in his hands or not. What really stands out is the speed at which he can make decisions with his footwork, keeping his route running smooth.
