RT is by far the weakest link

The Tennessee Titans lost to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 and once again one of their biggest mistakes was exposed. The Titans need a right tackle!

The right tackle position has been a problem for the team all season, dating back to training camp, and yet no matter what changes are made, there is still a major problem. This week they may have cost the Titans the game. Even head coach Brian Callahan acknowledges this.

He's absolutely right: Neither he nor offensive line coach Bill Callahan have been able to find a player who can step in and just be average. Nicholas Petit-Frere, Leroy Watson, Isaiah Prince, Jaelyn Duncan or John Ojukwu, no one was able to step in and hold that spot due to performance issues or injuries.

This raises the question of whether the fundamental problem is the training, the players or the system. While outsiders can only speculate about the problems, it is clear that those within the organization are to blame and will continue to go through committee after committee to find a solution.

Maybe it's time for employees to take a deeper look into their techniques or philosophies; It is clear that something is not working. Unfortunately, the Titans find themselves in uncharted territory with the head coach's son and father leading the worst unit on the team. If this were any other franchise, offensive line coach Bill Callahan would be on the hot seat, but here the players are solely on the chopping block.

The Titans will face the Houston Texans in Week 12, and perhaps they can find a way to get an average right tackle on the field during their preparation.
