Tennessee Titans Brian Callahan complimentary of all phases after win

The Tennessee Titans defeated the Houston Texans 32-27 in head coach Brian Callahan's first AFC South win.

The game was by no means perfect, with too many sacks, red zone fights and more special teams fumbles, but the Titans withstood the odds and won a game they would have lost earlier in the season. This team fought and did just enough to go on the road and knock out the Texans.

After the game, Callahan praised his team and pointed to some outstanding performances in the competition. Tony Pollard led the way with 119 yards on the ground, but there were contributions from everyone on the day.

“It was just great to see our guys fight at the end,” Callahan said, “and we finally have something to show for it.”

Callahan is spot on in his assessment that the Titans ultimately needed every play to pull off this game. Even the much-maligned special teams made a big contribution by cornering the Texans deep, a play that allowed the defense to put the game away.

The Titans can now return to Nashville with their heads held high after claiming a stunning victory in this AFC South battle.
