Cardinals TE Trey McBrides size makes him tough to cover

Arizona Cardinals playmaker Trey McBride ranks 4th in receptions among NFL tight ends. It's McBride's 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame that makes it very difficult for nickel defenders to guard him in one-on-one coverage.

McBride is averaging a whopping 11.3 yards per catch and should be credited to quarterback Kyler McBride's 65 goals are the most on the Cardinals and his sure hands were a security blanket when his number was called.

McBride still hasn't recorded a receiving touchdown this season (he has a rushing touchdown and a fumble recovered for a touchdown), but it's only a matter of time before he gets to the end zone. With running backs James Conner and Murray performing exceptionally well in the RPO game, the Cardinals were able to score so effectively on the ground that McBride didn't get many red zone targets. However, as opponents gain more information about the Cardinals' ground attack, head coach Jonathan Gannon and offensive coordinator Drew Petzing will be able to have more of an impact on McBride in the red zone.

Stopping McBride will certainly be a focus for Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald in Week 12. Time will tell how the Seahawks plan to defend McBride when play-action scenarios arise.
