In the final part of John Elway's interview with Broncos Wire, he talked about how Denver was able to withstand the competition and make the playoffs.

“If we stay healthy and keep the ball going our way, there’s no doubt they’re a playoff team,” Elway said during that time an interview with Broncos Wire about Dupuytren's contracture and his treatment.

BW: Now I just want to ask something. As of today, Denver is a playoff team. Do you think they will be able to hold off against other challengers like the Colts and Bengals and make the playoffs for the first time since you've been with the team?

Elway: You know, I think so, yes, I think so. I think, I think they're starting to make progress.

Of course, I think the disappointing loss in Kansas City (Week 10) just shows that they can play; They are two-time defending world champions.

And so I think the way Denver has been playing, Kansas City is getting better and better every week, especially offensively and defensively. They've been great all year (on defense).

If they do it there's so many variables like you know we have to stay healthy and if we stay healthy and get the ball bouncing our way there's no doubt that they're a playoff team and hopefully they will continue to improve as they have done.

John Elway spoke with Broncos wire in a three-part interview this week. Elway discussed Dupuytren's contracture in Part 1 and rookie quarterback Bo Nix Part 2. Elway won three Super Bowls in Denver – two as a quarterback and a third as a manager. He stepped down from his role with the Broncos after the 2022 season.
