Jerry Jeudy wants to prove his right when he returns to Empower Field at Mile High on Monday.
After trading with the Denver Broncos Jeudy moved to the Cleveland Browns in the spring and is now facing his old team Monday Night Football on December 2nd. Before the Week 13 showdown, Jeudy said in an interview: “I just want to get back there and whip their asses.”
“That sounds like my buddy,” Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton said said with a smile upon learning of Jeudy's comment. “He’s a competitor, man.”
It remains to be seen whether Denver will let Jeudy follow star cornerback Pat Surtain on Monday, but the two should go head-to-head for at least part of the game. Surtain was asked about Jeudy's comments before the showdown.
“I think he’ll be thrilled, that was obviously his former team.” Surtain said. “I think he’ll have a lot of juice, a lot of juice flowing. That's exactly the type of player he is. He is very competitive and will try to make it. I'm looking forward to the matchup. It will be a great duel.”

Jeudy obviously has issues with the organization, but not necessarily with his former teammates. He spoke enthusiastically about Surtain during his media appearance in Cleveland last week. Jeudy praised Surtain for his intelligence, length and speed and said Monday will be an entertaining matchup.
“I’ve known Pat since then [inaudible]“I’ve competed against him my whole life,” Jeudy said. “So if I get the opportunity to compete against him on that big stage, it will be fun.”
The game will be on Monday aired nationally on ESPN. The Broncos are playing at home are considered favorites in week 13.
