Justin Herbert rushes for touchdown vs Titans

Justin Herbert has a way to get the Chargers offense right.

Los Angeles stalled on its first two shots in the red zone and had to settle for two field goals from Cameron Dicker. The Chargers quickly threatened on their fourth drive of the game, getting to the Titans' 25 with a flea flicker to Joshua Palmer who gained 36 yards.

But LA found itself in trouble again, facing a fourth-and-1 from the Titans' 4-yard line. The Chargers lined up to try the shotgun, motioning JK Dobbins to the slot and leaving Herbert empty.

Normally that would signal a pass, and Herbert's roll to his right after the snap clearly seemed to indicate he was attempting to make a throw. Instead, Herbert tucked the ball away with a purposeful run past Titans defensive lineman and former Charger Sebastian Joseph-Day and weaved his way into the end zone for LA's first touchdown of the game.

It is Herbert's first rushing touchdown of the year and the 12th of his five-year career. The score gave the Chargers a 13-7 lead heading into the second quarter.
