Teams are allowed to promote up to two players from the practice squad each week, but the Los Angeles Rams won't use that number for tonight's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The team announced that full-back Keir Thomas has been promoted from the training squad to the matchday squad, the only player it will name for this match.
It's the second week in a row Thomas has been called up, but because it's a temporary raise, he'll return to the practice squad on Tuesday if the Rams win.
Thomas played his first game of the season last week against the Seahawks and recorded three tackles, a tackle for a loss and a quarterback hit. He has played in 17 games in his career, with last week being his first career start.
