Rams fans surprised by how skinny Emmanuel Forbes is in practice video

There is a lot of excitement among Los Angeles Rams fans after the team claimed Waivers this week. Even though he's struggled in the NFL so far, he's less than two years away from the 16th pick in the draft, so he still has time to turn things around.

However, that excitement may have died down a bit on Wednesday after the Rams shared a video of Forbes at his first practice with his new team. Everyone in the replies on X (formerly Twitter) had the same thought about Forbes: He's definitely…skinny.

It's hard to miss how lean his frame is, especially in the lower half of his body, where players develop so much power and explosiveness.

Here are some responses to seeing Forbes on the practice field for the first time.

The answers go on and on, but you get the point.

Coming from Mississippi State, his weight was one of Forbes' biggest concerns as a potential candidate. At the NFL Combine, he weighed 166 pounds, making him one of the lightest players in the league. For comparison, Tutu Atwell weighed 155 pounds at the combine but is only 5 feet 10 inches tall. Forbes has a 6-1 record, so his frame is wiry thin.

His slimmer frame isn't the only reason it didn't work out, but it was a definite red flag in the pre-draft process – and it doesn't look like he's gained any weight since then.

Hopefully he has more success with the Rams than he did in Washington, as there is certainly a need for cornerback help in Los Angeles that he can fill over the next two years.
