Sunday was an afternoon to forget San Francisco 49ers fans.
When all was said and done, the 49ers had suffered their worst loss ever Green Bay Packers in a frustrating 38-10 loss at Lambeau Field.
Of course, San Francisco entered Week 12 without starting quarterback Brock Purdy, offensive tackle Trent Williams and defensive end Nick Bosa.
As the 49ers' loss progressed, the injury situation got worse and worse. The 49ers announced this defensive tackle Jordan Elliott was sidelined due to a concussion.
Per The Athletic's Matt BarrowsLeft-back Aaron Banks is also now suffering from a suspected concussion.
Williams was listed as questionable with an ankle injury on the 49ers' injury report Friday. After the loss, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan explained why he felt Williams wasn't a fit for the move.
“It was close. We've made it through so far. I mean, until today, but he was in a little worse pain yesterday than he was at this time last week, which made us nervous and didn't wake up well today,” Shanahan said of Williams.
Shanahan said the team will monitor Purdy's status early next week to see if a return from his right shoulder injury is possible for the 49ers at their Week 13 appointment Buffalo Bills.
“He has been rehabilitating here the whole time. I'm sure we'll run some things through him early Monday or Tuesday and have a better idea then,” Shanahan said of Purdy.
San Francisco (5-6) will look to rebound from its second two-game losing streak of the season when it hosts Buffalo (9-2) in a primetime Sunday Night Football game on December 1 at 5:20 p.m. PT kicks off date on NBC.
