After wowing the 49ers with some impressive runs, Christian McCaffrey looked like himself early in the game against the Buffalo Bills. On seven carries, McCaffrey rushed for 53 yards followed by two catches for 14 yards against the Bills.

However, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year's night ended when he suffered a knee injury early in the game. After leaving the game and entering the blue medical tent and then the locker room, Kyle Shanahan ejected McCaffrey from the game after halftime.

After the 49ers' loss, Shanahan announced that McCaffrey had suffered a PCL injury that could sideline the starting running back.
