The Seattle Seahawks have been strangely effective away from Lumen Field throughout the 2024 season. Mike Macdonald's club were underdogs, posting an elite 7-1 away record. The Seahawks' actual 2025 schedule won't be released for several months, but their opponents have already been announced. Let's analyze each opponent they will play on the road.
After the additional home game in 2024, the Seahawks are scheduled to play nine away games in 2025.
Arizona Cardinals
The Seahawks dominated the Arizona Cardinals on the road in 2014, winning 30-18. The Cardinals are a rebuilding team but showed improvement this season. Kyler Murray and Co. could be a more difficult opponent in 2025.
Los Angeles Rams
The Seahawks defeated the Rams 30-25 in the Week 18 regular season finale at SoFi Stadium. It was a meaningless contest since the Rams had already won the NFC West division title. The Rams could have more incentive in next year's rematch.
San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks picked up a last-minute win on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. Geno Smith essentially scored a walk-off rushing touchdown. The win over the 49ers at Levi's Stadium was huge for Seattle's confidence.
Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons narrowly missed the 2024 postseason. The Seahawks can understand that. Seattle defeated Atlanta 34-14 at Merecdes=-Benz Stadium and will travel there for the second straight season next season. Michael Penix Jr. will be the Falcons' starting quarterback this time around.
Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers showed significant improvement late in the season. Sophomore quarterback Bryce Young finally began to live up to expectations. The Panthers could be a tougher away opponent in 2025 than most realize.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are in the process of naming a new head coach after Doug Pederson failed to live up to expectations. A healthier Trevor Lawrence under quarterback would increase their competitiveness next season. Jacksonville should be an improved team.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Will Seattle play a rookie quarterback like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward in this game?
Washington commanders
The Washington Commanders are in the playoffs. Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Jayden Daniels has completely changed his franchise's outlook. A healthy Daniels would give Seattle trouble in this matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are always competitive under Mike Tomlin. Will Russell Wilson return at quarterback? He is currently scheduled for unrestricted free agency.
