The Seahawks . Williams was originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and was a Miami Dolphin for two seasons until he unfortunately tore his ACL near the end of the 2023 season. Williams was allowed to leave in free agency and decided between the two before the deal with Seattle was finalized.
Williams started all nine games for the Seahawks this year, playing a total of 86 of a possible 92 games in the NFL. While While it seemed like Williams had brought stability to the interior of Seattle's offensive line, he had taken shocking regression in his last two games. In particular, the fact that he repeatedly threw the ball way too high to quarterback Geno Smith and even kicked it on him on a crucial 4th down play .
Coach Macdonald has starts on Sunday.
The NFL is an extremely challenging league. Not just physically, in the games, but also emotionally and mentally. Football can be a dangerous sport and if your head/heart isn't in it, for whatever reasonit can be harmful to health. We at Seahawks Wire wish Connor Williams a happy retirement, whatever endeavor he chooses to pursue after his life in football.
