Seattle Seahawks sophomore Olu Oluwatimi Center was an absolute revelation in his first start of the 2024 season last weekend, a decisive win over the San Francisco 49ers. Oluwatimi made his second start of the season in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. The former Michigan standout played his second straight quality game.
According to Pro Football Focus, Oluwatimi threw a shutout in pass protection. Despite only posting a 54.0 pass-blocking grade against the Cardinals, he was not credited with allowing a single pressure or sack. Oluwatimi was also not whistled for a penalty. Starting quarterback Geno Smith completed 22 of 31 pass attempts for 254 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Offensively, the Seahawks continued to struggle to establish an effective ground game. Kenneth Walker III managed just 41 yards on 16 carries, an average of 2.6 yards per carry. Zach Charbonnet fared no better, totaling 22 yards (3.7 YPC) on six rushing attempts. Oluwatimi had a run-blocking grade of 58.8, significantly lower than the 86.8 he posted against San Francisco.
All in all, Oluwatimi put in another outstanding performance with a decisive division win over the Cardinals. He was excellent in pass defense and Seattle's problems on the ground are a team failure. Oluwatimi continues to maximize his chance of securing a full-time starting role on offense next season.
