The seattle seahawks have officially moved into first place after their week 12 win over the arizona cardinals and with the is blown out Football on Sunday evenings. With 12 weeks of the regular season already behind us, it's time to really focus on what the seedings could look like in the playoffs.
Should the Seahawks finally win their first NFC West crown since 2020, like all division winners, they will automatically have a playoff bid. As it currently stands, they would be the No. 3 seed in the NFC and host the visiting Green Bay Packers.

There's still a lot of football to be played, and with everyone in the NFC West just a game or two apart, a lot can change. The situation in this division is still extremely volatile. Still, it's hard not to think about possibilities.
Should the season magically end today, the Seahawks would have their first playoff game against the Packers since 2019, when Seattle had to travel to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Green Bay defeated the Hawks 28-17, the furthest Seattle has gone in the postseason since then.
Of course, this would also be the Seahawks' first playoff game at Lumen Field against the Packers since their monumental comeback win earlier in the year . With just over two minutes to play, Green Bay blew a 19-7 lead as Seattle triumphed 28-22 in overtime and returned to the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks will look to keep the momentum going in Week 13 when they travel to the Meadowlands (the sight of their Super Bowl XLVIII win) to take on the struggling New York Jets. Seattle has another date with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, so a win over the Jets will be crucial to keeping them at the top.
