Six wins in a row later eagle boast an 8-2 record and sit atop the NFC East.

They blew that away , and New York Giants during the impressive run and also secured a win over their division rivals, the last week.

All seems well for Philadelphia, a team looking to make another attempt at the season after falling short in 2023.

came out of the bye week shooting and continues to rack up touchdowns both through the air and on the ground – despite battling an ankle injury.

But the real driving force behind Philly's success in recent weeks has been Saquon Barkley.

After being traded from the Giants to the Eagles in the offseason, the 27-year-old running back is enjoying his best season yet.

Barkley has recorded six games with more than 100 rush yards so far in 2024, already matching the total he achieved with the Giants between 2020 and 2023.

He is averaging career highs in rush yards per game, yards per carry and scrimmage yards per game and is on pace to have 1,922 rush yards and 2,290 scrimmage yards in 17 games.

The stats are great, but his season so far will be remembered for a moment that transcends football, playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In the second quarter, Barkley caught a pass, spun past a defender and then launched himself into the air to avoid Jarrian Jones, flying backwards over him.

Sirianni described it after the game as the best play he had ever seen, and the highlight quickly went viral.

Since then it has happened added to the popular Madden game.

Barkley's stats – and highlight game – propelled him to the World Championship NFL MVP talk.

And while his on-field performances came as a shock to many fans, teammate Dallas Goedert is far from surprised by what we've seen so far.

In an exclusive conversation with talkSPORT, the Eagles tight end spoke about Barkley's impressive work this season.

“He’s definitely an icon. “It’s really special to get a game that only you made in Madden,” Goedert said.

“Saquon has been a great addition to our offense. He’s an even better guy and a joy to be in the locker room with.”

“He just wants the best for the team, and individual success comes second.”

Goedert continued to praise Barkley's work ethic and suggested his behind-the-scenes efforts could help him win the MVP award.

“He’s incredible, he’s a model. God has given him a lot of skills, but he definitely uses them,” said the TE.

“He's early, undergoes treatment, he's had a lot of missions for us. At training you can see him storming through the starting rows, just like he does in games. This guy is special.”

“(Barkley) is an incredible person. He said to me the other day that there has never been a Super Bowl winning team with an MVP running back. So he’s okay with not winning if it can get us a Super Bowl.”

Saquon Barkley's teammates were impressed by the breathtaking performance, which included an unprecedented reverse hurdles race.

The Eagles have already provided some incredible moments this season, but Goedert says there's more to come.

“It’s not just about Saquon. I’m blessed to be with AJ (Brown) and Smitty (DeVonta Smith),” he continued.

“In practice, AJ made one of the best catches I’ve ever seen, and it just gets overlooked because it happened in practice.”

“No one outside the building can see some of the spectacular plays that are performed there. They do their part during the games, but it’s a pleasure to be there every day.”

“It’s special to be in the building with a group of people like us and see amazing things every day.”
