The Detroit Lions are the hottest team in the NFL, even though their code words and protections have been leaked for the world to see.

running back Jahmyr Gibbs made the stupid mistake of accidentally posting a video on Instagram of fellow running back Jermar Jefferson, which featured a whiteboard with some of Detroit's protective calls in the background.

Of course, this is a pretty significant and careless mistake on Gibbs' part.

However, head coach Dan Campbell doesn't seem to care.

“I really don’t give a fuck,” Campbell said Monday in his weekly radio interview on Detroit’s WXYT-FM (97.1).

“If we lose because of code words, we’re not good enough anyway.”

“So I think we’re just going to release the whole damn playbook and whatever code we have. And it doesn’t matter.”

“It won’t hurt us, it won’t affect us and it’s all good.”

At 11-1, Campbell and the Lions are currently number one in the NFC and have far bigger worries than anything accidentally posted on social media.

“Listen, it's all out there and you can find everything you need on the tape and how to attack people, how they're going to attack you, and no, listen, I'm not losing sleep over it.”

“Now do I want us to release things from our locker room or from our players or whatever? No, I don’t want that because you don’t know what will happen with something like that.”

“But no, in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal.”

Campbell even noted that he had already joked about it with Gibbs.

“I messed with him, so it’s good,” Campbell said. “I’m not even worried about it.”

What Campbell and the Lions are focused on is Thursday night's massive heavyweight win over fellow NFC North rival, 9-3 Green Bay Packers.

A Detroit win will go a long way toward securing the NFC's No. 1 seed.

The Lions haven't lost to Baker Mayfield and the since Week 2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped Ford Field with a 20-16 victory.

Since then, there has been a tidal wave of Honolulu blue in the nfl.

quarterback Jared Goff Playing at an MVP level, Gibbs and fellow running back David Montgomery have formed the nfl's best one-two punch, nicknamed Sonic and Knuckles.

Combined with an extremely strong defense, it's no surprise that Detroit is currently the favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.

It's the first time in franchise history that Detroit is the favorite to win Super Bowl.

These are not your father's Lions.

These are Campbells.

In 2021, Campbell's first year at the helm, the Lions finished 3-13-1.

That feels like it was decades ago.

Campbell has built a foundation of courage and toughness.

A basis for which many people made fun of him about biting kneecaps during his introductory press conference.

Now it's not so funny anymore.

Because of the foundation and culture that Campbell has built, they are so easily able to shake off Gibbs' mistakes and keep him going.

Slowing down the Lions will take a lot more than just a few leaked code words and protection kits.

As Campbell suggested, you may just need the entire playbook.
