Netflix called their first foray into live sports a “record night.”
The stream wasn't without issues as several fans complained about glitches and buffering throughout the night.
However, the event certainly attracted a lot of interest and was offered free to existing Netflix subscribers.
50 million viewers tuned in to watch the co-feature attraction between And who stole the show.
Taylor defended her undisputed super lightweight title in a barn-burning fight.
The Irishwoman took a unanimous decision in boxing from behind, with all three judges' scorecards reading 95-94, 95-94 and 95-94 in her favour.
But many fans believe Serrano has done enough to get her hand raised, and the CompuBox stats back up her point.
Serrano managed 327 punches and Taylor 217, setting a record for the most punches landed by a female fighter.
But it wasn't supposed to be her night. While Serrano and Taylor lived up to their amazing opening encounter, Paul and Tyson failed completely.
Both men appeared hesitant to walk away in a very underpowered fight in which Paul defeated his 58-year-old opponent by a wide unanimous decision.
over the course of eight two-minute rounds, Paul landed 78 punches while Tyson landed only 18 of his 97 total punches.
There was always a feeling that this could happen, and yet the stream peaked at 65 million households.
Media consultant Joe Hand Promotions distributed the event to over 6,000 bars and restaurants across the United States, setting the record for commercial distribution of a martial arts event in the company's 50-plus year history.
#PaulTyson was the No. 1 trending topic worldwide on X on Friday, while #Serrano was No. 2 in the U.S., Brazil, Spain and Canada.
The event also broke several records, achieving the largest boxing goal outside of Las Vegas in U.S. history.
The Paul vs. Tyson gate grossed over $18 million, twice the previous Texas combat sports gate record, the leader Record $9 million.
over 72,300 bettors attended the event, including some of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment.
The long list of star-studded names included , Bryson DeChambeau, and Charlize Theron.
