talkSPORT betting tips Best football bets and expert advice for Tuesday 12 November

The final group stage games of this year's EFL Trophy take place on Tuesday evening and there are some exciting games for players to evaluate.

Colchester and Arsenal U21, the top two teams in Group E of the Southern Section, meet on matchday three, while Aston Villa U21 look to secure their place in the last 32 with a win at Barrow and we've picked out three bets that stand out on Tuesday's action.

Bet of the day

over 3.5 goals in Colchester vs Arsenal U21 @ 11/8

Arsenal U21 have been involved in some entertaining EFL Trophy clashes this season, winning 2-1 at Leyton Orient before drawing 2-2 away at MK Dons.

The young Gunners lost the penalty shootout to the Dons, leaving them level on points with hosts Colchester on Tuesday at the top of the group.

The teams have a two-point lead over their group rivals, allowing them to play with a degree of freedom at Colchester Community Stadium.

Arsenal have struggled defensively in Premier League 2 this season and 3.5+ goals looks like a tempting bet for the trip to Essex.

The Gunners won 4-3 away at Blackburn at the end of October, but lost on either side of that victory, 5-2 to Tottenham and 2-1 to Chelsea. Both teams have scored in Colchester's last six games in all competitions.

Special of the day

Salford City draw with Wolves U21 @ 10/3

Wolves' first team picked up a long-awaited first Premier League win of the season on Saturday and the club's young players are worth backing as they look to frustrate EFL Trophy hosts Salford City.

Wolves U21s played to a 2-2 draw in their opening game at Port Vale before suffering a 3-0 defeat at Wrexham. However, Salford, bottom of the group, may not be at full strength on Tuesday.

A late Josh Austerfield own goal condemned Salford to a 2-1 defeat at Wrexham in their final EFL Trophy game and the Ammies conceded a goal in the 88th minute of Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Carlisle in League Two.

Only two of Salford's last 15 games in all competitions have been decided by a margin of more than one goal and the draw looks like a high price to pay as they face Wolves U21.

Total recording of the day

Aston Villa U21 win first half against Barrow @ 27/10

Aston Villa U21s are top of Group D in the Northern Section and should be leading at half-time in their game against second division side Barrow.

Villa's young talents were 1-0 up at half-time in their 3-2 win at Fleetwood on matchday one, and Trai-Varn Mulley's 33rd-minute goal gave them the same half-time advantage as they had in the 1-1 draw at the last game in Bolton.

Barrow are in poor goalscoring form and have lost to nil in seven of their last 11 games, including a 3-0 defeat in the EFL Trophy at Fleetwood, who scored two goals in the first half.
